How are AQE scores worked out?

There is no pass or fail in the AQE Test.

Each paper has 64 marks (this is the raw score) – 32 each for Maths and English.

Raw scores are age-adjusted by averaging them against the scores of other children who are the same age in months. The average score once they are age-adjusted is always 100. Your child’s final AQE score could range from the 50s to 140 (theoretically – the highest scores we’ve ever heard are in the high 120s).
